This is the mostly true story of Glenn's reaction to our comic book Henry & Glenn Forever. Thanks to J. Bennett at Decibel for lending me this story for my final HG4Ever strip, and for attempting to give Glenn a copy of our book that we all signed for him. As you can see, Danzig didn't even wanna look at it. Sorry we made you sad Glenn.

Art Auction for Animals!
Almost forgot to post this (my brain is plagued by fever this week).

As part of the Let Live Conference in Portland, OR, Josh from Herbivore has organized an art auction that benefits animal charities.
I have three pieces being auctioned:

Busy busy busy
Here's a few things going on...

That the comic's paper holds them as well as it does is a testament to Neely's skill as a self-publisher in addition to his instincts as a colorist."

Massive Website Update!
I've finally managed to get my website updated!!!
(and I owe endless thanks to Levon Jihanian)
I added several new items to the store, including my new book:
Plus 4 recent prints, including a certain poster that many people have been asking about.
Added some recent paintings to the art section.
I've added an illustration section with all kinds of recent and past illustration jobs that I'm particularly proud of.

And now for something completely different... CONAN!!!

Even before the opportunity to do my Conan arose, I had already been reading a lot of the old Savage Sword of Conan comics, and I especially love the stories drawn by John Buscema and Alfred Alcala.
Most Savage Sword of Conan covers are the same scenario: Conan defending a scantily clad woman from some kind of monster. (here's one by Boris Vallejo) So, I took all the elements of that concept and decided to amp it up into the goriest Conan image I could make. And of course more scantily clad ladies! I wanted Conan to be buck-naked, too, but that doesn't fly with the publisher. So, you'll just have to use your imagination.*****
I had a ton of fun drawing this and it kinda makes me wanna do more of this kind of illustration work... That's a big hint to all you editors out there! Why hasn't anyone asked me to do something for Marvel's Strange Tales? Or a cover for the newly revived Creepy Comics? Or anything else... Hire me people!*****
Incidentally, I was working on inking this Conan on the morning I found out Frank Frazetta died. I was sad to hear this news. I've always been a fan of his illustration, especially the work he did for Creepy magazine. I thought I should dedicate my Conan to Frazetta because he did so many great Conan covers. But after reading a few interviews with him, I found out that he is no fan of gore in art. And since my Conan is so gory, I don't think it would be an appropriate dedication.
However, the back cover of my latest book was my homage to Frazetta's cover to Creepy #3.

ISIS Live V record cover!

I couldn't be happier about how this came out. it looks so good!
The VG Kids did an amazing job printing this thing.
Thanks to ISIS for having me do this for them. They will be selling these on their final tour this summer. They are breaking up after this tour, but I know all of them will continue to make amazing music with other projects in the future. I'm very honored to have been a small part in their history.
Some of these records with my cover will soon be available from Viva Hate Records.
I also have 20 unscored prints of the same artwork.

Interview with Decibel Magazine!
If I could go back in time and tell my 14 yr old self that in the future I'd be interviewed by a magazine that normally covers the likes of Megadeth, Carcass, Exodus and Cannibal Corpse, I'm sure 14-yr-old Tom would say "Get the fuck out of my room you creepy old man!" And then 14-yr-old Tom would crank "Chopped in Half" by Obituary on his stereo and go back to drawing chaotic evil druids slaying goblins in his notebook.

The album is really amazing. It is ISIS playing their album Oceanic in it's entirety from a performance at All Tomorrows Parties festival 07-23-06. I'm really lucky to have had the chance to create some artwork to go with the live version of one of my favorite albums.
There will also be t-shirts with this artwork available on their tour.

LA Weekly reviews Henry and Glenn forever here.
"Henry Rollins and Glenn Danzig are in a loving, committed relationship. Henry (who sometimes looks like Chester Gould's Dick Tracy) loves Glenn dearly, even if occasionally his anger issues get in the way. Glenn keeps a journal about his ambitions and projects, like being in a band wearing corpse-like makeup ("Just be yourself!" recommends Henry). Oh, their neighbors are Hall & Oates, who are just your average neighborhood Satanists with a penchant for D&D.
This is the premise of Henry & Glenn, the new minicomic by art collective Igloo Tornado presented last week at Silverlake's comics mecca Secret Headquarters.
The minicomic, of course, is an unauthorized work of fantasy, but so are the "official" personas of Rollins and Danzig. What the Igloo Tornado guys have done is turned an old metalhead parlor game ("who would win a fight? Danzig or Rollins?") into clever slash fiction, a non-explicit graphic novelette..."
