Survival of the Fittest: 13 Artists at Harmony Gallery.

"In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment."
–Charles Darwin

It’s time for the art world to evolve. Survival of the Fittest is a group show of 13 artists at Harmony Gallery in Hollywood March 6th-April 17th. The purpose of the show is to represent a wide range of new talents and new ideas in the hybrid world of fine art, illustration and comics. The institutional categories of “Illustration”, “Fine Art”, “Low-Brow”, “High-Brow”, and “Cartoon” no longer apply in today’s changing art world. It’s time to abandon this out-dated class system, to break down the barriers as a new breed of Artist is emerging. The 13 artists represented, from different backgrounds, with different purpose, all approach their individual practices with conviction and the serious pursuit of “Art.”

Featuring Art by: Renee French, Levon Jihanian, Andy Kehoe, Kathleen Lolley, Tom Neely, Scot Nobles, Lark Pien, Jesse Reklaw, Billy Reynolds, Zack Soto, Gin Stevens, Scott Teplin and Matthew Thurber.

Tom Neely, Curator
